Oxford CEO, Jeff Hauptman Nominated for A2Y Chamber Small Business Person of the Year

The A2Y Chamber recently announced the nominees for this year's Small Business Person of the Year award. Among those nominated is Jeff Hauptman, CEO of Oxford Companies. In order to be considered for the award, business leaders must exhibit two consecutive years of growth within an existing firm of at least three years. Nominees must also show a commitment to the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti regional community. Hauptman is one of five nominees for this year's Small Business Person of the Year. The winner will be announced on November 13th.

Oxford Co. completes $12M deal for office complex on Ann Arbor's west side

Fresh off the heels of a $100 million portfolio purchase, Oxford Companies has acquired nearly 85,000 square feet of office space on Ann Arbor's west side.

The $12 million acquisition of the Forest Cove office complex on Miller Road near M-14 adds to Oxford's commercial portfolio, which is already the largest in Ann Arbor.

"One of the key components to this property is that it really stands apart from most of the other traditional office spaces around town."

Oxford Buys McMullen: Real Estate Deal of the Year

Tom McMullen and his family have long been players in the Ann Arbor commercial real estate market, starting with the development of Briarwood Mall in the early 1970s. The McMullen portfolio has now been purchased by Ann Arbor’s largest commercial landlord, Oxford Companies, owned by Ann Arbor native Jeff Hauptman. Ann Arbor News editor Paula Gardner broke the story of the $100 million deal.

Oxford Volunteers Spruce Up Gardens at Hanover Square

Last fall in 2014, Oxford adopted the Hanover Square Park at the corner of Division and Packard Streets downtown through the Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation's "Adopt-A-Park" program. We began with a clean-up and bulb planting last November, and planned out our major work for the spring of this year. All the rain and cooler temperatures made for a pleasant day of weeding, digging, planting and mulching on May 15 when we gathered to plant several gardens with perennials and annuals.

Storage systems like this are essential to capture renewable energy sources during times of day when the demand for electricity is low and release it when needed. Oxford Acquires McMullen Portfolio

Following a year-long process, Oxford closed on the acquisition of the McMullen Properties, a 704,000 square foot portfolio of office property located on the south side of Ann Arbor. Valued at over $100,000,000, the purchase represents the largest private commercial property transaction in the city’s history. The properties, which include 22 buildings in 3 separate business parks: Atrium Office Center, Eisenhower Commerce Center, and Valley Ranch Business Park, now bring more than half of Ann Arbor's Briarwood office market into the Oxford portfolio.
